Whitetail World Series Contest Rules

Rules of Entry:

HOW TO ENTER THE COMPETITION:  You may enter online at www.WhitetailWorldSeries.com or by mail at Contest, Whitetail World Series, LLC, P.O. Box 357  Woodbury, Ga. 30293.
  • Each entrant shall submit on the appropriate entry form provided by Sponsor, a buck that meets minimum gross score (Boone and Crocket) to be eligible.

  • Minimum gross scores will be set for each sub region and be determined by the sub region of the harvest, not the address of the hunter.

  • Only deer taken by legal and ethical means may be entered.  Any deer taken inside of a pen with a deer proof fence, regardless of the size of the enclosed area, will be excluded.  Only deer harvested on property in which the hunter has a clear and legal right and permission to hunt may be entered into the contest.  Hunters who exceed the legal bag limit for deer in their respective regions during the 2008 and 2009 season are specifically excluded from participation in the contest.

  • Anyone convicted of a game violation will be ineligible for that contest year.

  • Only the hunter who harvested the deer may enter the deer in the contest.  No group entries.

  • All deer must have been tagged within 24 hours of the initial shot.  Any deer that is lost for more than 24 hours after the initial shot is ineligible for this contest and cannot be entered.

  • A person finding a deer or receiving a deer by any means other than a hunter actually sport hunting, legally shooting and harvesting a deer within 24 hours is not eligible for the contest.  Any deer taken legally under a deer control permit or under any other legal but not sport hunting authority are ineligible for entry into the contest.

  • Eligible hunters accept without condition the rules of the contest and by participating or attempting to participate in the contest shall indemnify and hold harmless Whitetail World Series, LLC, its employees, officers, agents, and the assigns for any damages of any kind what so ever, whether real or imagined.

  • There will be one winner from each region that advances to the Whitetail World Series.  In addition, all deer entered into the contest are also qualified for a wild card drawing and earn the right to participate in the grand prize competition, provided that the deer meets the minimum gross score for that sub region.

  • The winner of each region will be determined by a percentage score over the minimum B/C score for the region or sub-region of harvest. (The gross score divided by the minimum score for the sub-region of harvest. For example a deer killed in Alabama Grosses 155 divided by their 130 minimum results in a percentage score of 119%. )

  • In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by the highest combined measurement of the bases; if a tie still remains, the winner will be determined by the length of the longest tine.

  • Deer may be entered at any part of the season provided that the weapon used to harvest the deer was legal to use at the time of harvest.

  • Each entrant into the contest must sign affidavit attesting to the facts regarding his or her qualification to enter the contest and the circumstances of the hunt and harvest of the deer being entered. This affidavit is contained in the contest official entry form, which can be found on the website at www.WhitetailWorldSeries.com. This affidavit along with required paper work and photos of the deer and hunter must be received by Whitetail World Series within ten (10) business days of day of harvest.

  • Each entrant into the contest must present the intact, unmodified and non mounted antlers and skull plate to Whitetail World Series, LLC if asked to at a time and place to be specified at the time of request in order for the rack to be scored and inspected.  Failure to present antlers and skull plate at the appointed time and place will result in that deer being ineligible for the contest.

  • Each entrant agrees to submit, by signature on the official tournament entry form, to a polygraph examination to be administered at a time/date determined by the Sponsor and to abide by its conclusion. Failure to pass the examination will result in disqualification.  Determination of the meaning of the results will be made solely by Sponsor.  Refusal to take the examination will result in the contestant being eliminated from the contest and loss of eligibility to compete for or receive and contest award.
